I'm searching for a paint that has some "metalic" look to it but color also. My purpose is to base coat paint some black cloth. Yes I know it is VERY unconventional use for auto paint. Trust me.

I understand this is an auto paint forum so you will have to trust me that the end use is automotive, I just cannot say what use or even give hints.

What paint should I try? I want to try something eye-poping and it would have to be a bright paint because the is black. A paint that keeps the eye moving would be cool.

Thanks for the suggestions Wink

Are you just asking for color suggestions? I'm partial to red micas myself. The mica can be mixed into clear for use over black.

You're being awfully vague for anyone to be of help...

Hey, I understand secrets as well as the next guy, so my stab in the dark would be this suggestion./

"Cloth" Buy a quart of sem dye and add pearl or flake for the look you want. Depending on flexibility, paint may be a problem.
